Today, I am gonna blog about Sydney's arts scene. They have arty-farty toilets. In Singapore, this would amount to vandalism = Fine + Jail + 3 strokes of cane.
BUT over here...seems like such art is being appreciated that the vandal....oops I mean artist continues his extension work of art in the entire toilet. You'll be amazed...

KFC in Randwick is a supporter of the local arts scene.

What a bad day it is!

1) The test was not as easy as I expected. Damn I got owned by it! It was tough. I was caught by surprise how time really flies! I guess time is not on my side...

2) At Randwick Oriental...fuck...The little girl in front of me just peed on the floor...just like that... and I stepped onto the puddle....fuck fuck fuck....When I realised that I was stepping on something wet it was just too late....Don't laugh!

3) Man Utd lost to Chelsea 1-2...knn....Drogba should be sent off...

4) Someone was shot to death at Churchills which is just around 5 to 6 mins walk away from where I stay. Just a few streets across. It happened on the night of Anzac Day, a day to commemorate the fallen heroes in World War 1. But...what do these chao ang mo do? Drink! And when conflicts arise, what do they do? Whip out a gun and shoot the other person....

Now...I am just beginning to appreciate the ah nehs drinking at kopitiams or void decks in Singapore. Yes they do drink habitually...yes they're alcoholics....yes they do beat up their wives....BUT...they do not take a gun and shoot the other person dead!

It pays to be a good nerdy boy who stays at home and study study study...

34-year-old engineer chosen as Singapore's happiest person

SINGAPORE: A 34-year-old engineer, Andy Goh, has been chosen as Singapore's happiest person in a search that saw more than 200 people nominated.

"The idea was actually hatched by my wife and sister-in-law about three weeks ago when they first saw the article. They thought it'd be funny to put my name in, and one thing led to another," said Mr Goh.

very funny meh? These people ahhh....really too free and nothing to do...

The engineer was chosen over 207 nominees in a search by local consulting firm, Global Leadership Academy, which is preparing to organise a well-being conference.

What clinched it for Mr Goh was his attitude about the little things in life.

He said: "Happiness is not just about money and stuff. You've got to count your little blessings – health, family, friends, good support group. These are the things that I have a lot of and that makes me feel like a really happy person."

Nominees were judged based on their smile, ability to bring happiness to others and how he or she remains positive. They also need to have a strong sense of belonging to the community.

Philip Merry, Founder of Global Leadership Academy, said: "He had many, many people who actually voted for him and in terms of the characteristics we looked for, he epitomises all of those."

What a name. Philip Merry. Sounds like typical April Fools joke,

Along with the title of being the happiest person in Singapore, Mr Goh also won a two-night hotel stay in Phuket, Thailand.

Wow...let me strike $10million Toto and I'll eclipse him as the happiest person!!! Like that also can win himself a trip to Phuket. Channelnewasia's really running out of news to report...

3 Chinese nationals caught in cars' hidden compartments: By Channel NewsAsia Posted: 18 April 2008 0020 hrs

SINGAPORE: Three female nationals from China, barred from Singapore for overstaying, have been caught trying to enter Singapore illegally by hiding in secret compartments of two Malaysian cars. On Wednesday evening, Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers found two women, aged 31 and 33, hiding beneath the rear seats of a Malaysian-registered car. They were detected at about 6pm at the Woodlands Checkpoint when the driver of the car was directed for more detailed checks. The 25-year-old driver claimed he did not know about the women in the car and said he had borrowed the car from his friend to go shopping in Singapore. Investigations revealed that the women had each paid over S$2,000 or RMB13,000 to a male Chinese national to enter Singapore. And about two hours later at the same checkpoint, another Chinese woman was found beneath the rear seats of another Malaysian-registered car. This time, the 32-year-old was hiding in a modified compartment under the rear seat floorboard. ICA officers unscrewed the floorboard when they heard sounds coming out from beneath the seats when the car was directed for detailed checks. The woman also paid over S$2,000 to a male Chinese national to enter Singapore illegally. The 23-year-old driver of the car claimed that he was in financial difficulties and had been promised less than S$130 or RM300 for the job. All five are being investigated for immigration offences. - CNA/vm

Ah tiongs think that there's cash flowing out from the walls in Singapore to the extent that they have to resort to this. If there's really cash from our walls, we'll all be elites and even ah tiongs can become elites. What's with the msn heart with I love China. The reason for loving them, I can think of right now is.....with these illegal acts, they create jobs for the ICA officers to keep themselves busy...or else tax-payers money is wasted for them to swat flies to maintain Singapore's cleaniness. Then the disgruntled citizens will complain about the gahmen.

26-year-old smoker goes smoke-free for three days on Orchard RoadBy Margaret Perry, Channel NewsAsia Posted: 13 April 2008 2042 hrs

SINGAPORE: A 26-year-old smoker who has been smoking for nearly half her lifetime has managed to spend the weekend free from cigarettes. Cheyenne Lu spent three days and two nights living in a glass house set up by the Health Promotion Board (HPB). Ms Lu said this weekend was her longest time without a cigarette since she was 14...blah blah blah

Wow...14 years old...smoking for 12 years...Now, who do you blame? Herself? Her parents? My answer...must be the mama shop that illegally sold her cigs la!

Now she goes on to say, "But the thing is, being in here for three days and two nights and not smoking, despite having other smokers around me, has proved to me that I can do this even when I'm out with my smoking friends. I can persevere and go on smoke-free."

Now, do you think she'll quit? Talk easy la! Give her maybe few weeks? A whiff of menthol lights will send her floating...

He said that when 4 or more people get together, that's illegal gathering....WTF!! Ok...I think I may have taken the indian for granted too...

I have gotten new room lights. Thanks for the trouble. Yeah my is much brighter that I can see myself clearly now. Wow! I have plenty of white hair. FUCK...there goes that chao ang mohs again...

John, Mary, Lucy and Alicia arranged to meet. Who wasn't late?

Last Friday, I got awoken by loud bangings on my door at 9am! It was the door repairman that wanted to repair my ill-fitting door. He came back at 10am and literally took the door down! I was without a door for half an hour. So I did guard duty. He came back with a shaven door in 30 minutes.

My house without a door. May wealth come in. Huat ah!
So many things to do. Being hardworking ain't enough.

WHAT MAJOR IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
created with QuizFarm.com
You scored as HR/BusinessManagement

You should strongly consider majoring (or minoring) in Human Resources Management or Business Management, or related majors (e.g., Entrepreneurship, Hospitality, International Business, Leadership, Public Administration, Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology).

It is possible that the best major for you is your 2nd, 3rd, or even 5th listed category, so be sure to consider ALL majors in your OTHER high scoring categories (below). You may score high in a category you didnt think you would--it is possible that a great major for you is something you once dismissed as not for you. The right major for you will be something 1) you love and enjoy and 2) are really great at it.

Consider adding a minor or double majoring to make yourself standout and to combine your interests. Excellent minors for HR/Business majors include: Psychology, Sociology, or other areas of business like Economics, Finance, or Marketing. Please post your results in your myspace/blog/journal.

Spotted in the city near World Square. I wonder how authetic that is. Notice the Chinese characters. It reads 'Hai Nan' which is in China. Shouldn't it be Nan Yang or something? You should check out their menu! Kang Kong is spelt Kam Kong...sounds like kum gong. I've not eaten there tho.
